A quiet night, on a very cold February Tuesday. We had booked, but arrived early to receive a charming and friendly welcome. It is BYOB, so our bottle was opened and the excellent evening began. One other couple came, ate and left, so we had personal service. The food was excellent; hearty and warming was required, and that was what we received. Well presented, definitely 'home-cooked'; although a non-dessert eater I was tempted by the cheesecake, which was delicious. Hope that such a good venue is busier at better times; sure it will be. My colleague, who is local, will coincidentally be returning with a group booking, but was keen to come yet again with his wife.
